CAIRNGORM 4000

The Cairngorm National Park is home to some of the UK’s highest summits. Cainrgorm Mountain home to one Scotlands ski areas is just the gateway to a wild and remote mountain range stretching from Aviemore to Balmoral with high summits and the vast Cairngorm plateaux. The Cairngorm 4000 round gives a two-day journey through the Cairngorms via its highest summits across its plateaux and through the famous deep glen of the Larig Ghru. Its main summits of Caingorm, Braeriach, Cairn Toul and the UK’s second highest mountain Ben Macdui is best done over a two day journey with a wild camp or night in the Corrour Bothy deep in the Larig Ghru.

This is a hillwalking journey with no ropes or climbing involved. A reasonable level of fitness along with a sense of adventure is all thats required. This is best done over a two day journey with a camp mid way. We are able to offer an all inclusive guided journey through the heart of the Cairngorms experiencing one of the UK’s finest mountain areas.

We provide all the mountain safety equipment such as first aid kit, group shelter and we issue each participant an orange survival bag where required. We don’t provide maps but carry one ourselves and can advise which sheet and scale would be best for the course that you are on. We have a full kit list on the site and are happy to help answer any questions you may have.
