CMD ARETE

The Mountain Track offers a route to the summit but for those who would like a quieter and more adventurous route to the summit then the Cars Mor Dearg arête offers this option. Curving around the Northern side with the backdrop of the huge cliffs on its North Face the CMD arête follows a narrow dramatic scramble finishing right on the summit.

Although this is an unroped scramble a good steady head for mountain exposure is advised. This combined with a good level of hill fitness is sufficient. The descent from the summit takes the normal mountain track back to the North Face car park in Torlundy.

We do not provide clothing or food for this trip. We start and finish at the North Face car park.
