Hillwalking is for many the starting point for their walking, mountaineering and climbing journey. Where better than the Scottish Highlands to start that journey? Home to the famous Munro’s and numerous other wild mountain walks, Scotland offers everything from short half-day hills to remote peaks that require technical climbing skills to summit. It is also home of course to the UK’s highest mountain Ben Nevis, a must-do mountain.
Although perhaps low in altitude in terms of world mountains, Highland summits amply make up for this by their rugged and often remote feel. Scotland of course is famous for its wild weather. This remoteness and wild weather can be a dangerous combination for those ill-equipped or without the navigational skills to get around when the weather turns.

Our intimate knowledge of the Scottish mountains means that we are able to tailor make trips based on skill, experience and aspirations. Either one day or multi day journeys through the mountains are available. We can guide you or a larger groups with our experience, knowledge and passion for these mountains giving qualified guiding along with local knowledge of hidden gems and mountain knowledge.

We offer guided hillwalking trips and instructional courses on Ben Nevis and the Isle of Skye and have a separate menu for these popular venues, just have a look at the ‘What we do’ section to find these itineraries.

We provide all the mountain safety equipment such as first aid kit, group shelter and we issue each participant an orange survival bag where required. We don’t provide maps but carry one ourselves and can advise which sheet and scale would be best for the course that you are on. We have a full kit list on the site and are happy to help answer any questions you may have.
