The Inaccessible Pinnacle: The UK’s Hardest Summit

Often dubbed the 'UK's hardest summit,' the Inaccessible Pinnacle has long been a sought-after peak. Since its first ascent in 1880 by the Pilkington brothers, a pair of glassblowers, it has become a popular climb in the heart of the Cuillins. It is a key part of the full traverse and a significant summit for walkers completing the Munro rounds.

Although not technically difficult, the Pinnacle's position, combined with graded climbing up the narrow fin and the abseil descent, makes it a challenging and technical climb. We offer guided ascents for those eager to tackle the 'Inn Pinn.' No prior climbing experience is required—just good hill fitness and a steady head for heights. It’s also a fantastic climb for those looking to experience the Cuillin range, as it sits in a stunning location on the ridge.

Included in your course cost are a harness, helmet, and belay plate. We also provide all the necessary hardware, ropes, first aid kits, and other essential mountain safety equipment. A full kit list is available on our website, and we are always happy to assist with any questions about what to bring or wear.
