SKYE RIDGE TRAVERSE

Perhaps the finest mountaineering journey in the UK? We think so. The Skye Ridge traverses the Black Cuillin Range on the Isle of Skye. A magnificent line of eleven munro summits with scrambling, climbing pitches and abseils spread over a two-day journey with a bivvy overnight high on the ridge.

Our Skye Ridge traverses are sold as a package of three days which enables us some time to have a short scramble day getting to know the ropes and to make our traverse as smooth as possible. It also allows us some flexibility in the weather and choosing the best two days to make our traverse. 
We find the best time for this is The end of April through to mid-June when the weather is often stable and before the midge arrives. We recommend the three day package but are available for shorter itineraries should this be suitable for you. 



We can provide all the equipment needed including harness and helmets and the technical hardware required. We are not able to provide the sleeping equipment needed but are happy to help with its organisation.
