SPORT CLIMBING

Sport climbing (use of pre fixed bolts) has become more common in recent years making many more cliffs accessible for climbing. We are well positioned in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands with access to numerous sport climbing venues where we can deliver introductory courses to help deliver the skills for safe sport climbing. Clipping bolts and the all important methods for retreating and lowering from a sport climb are covered along with dynamic belaying and equipment used. There are some excellent introductory venues around the city and further south towards Aviemore and the Cairngorm National Park. This is an ideal course for those who are climbing indoors and would like to make the start on moving their climbing outdoors onto the rock.

We can provide a harness, helmet and belay plate covered within your course cost. We don’t provide rock shoes however with some prior knowledge of the requirement and size we might be able to arrange something for you. We provide all the hardware and ropes required a long with a first aid kit and other mountain safety equipment.
